8 Months!

Another month gone....just one more to go! I am due on Jan. 27th, but I sure wouldn't mind having the baby a week early because I am uncomfortable and not sleeping well. The nights have been pretty rough....I think that has prepared me for the sleepless nights we are about to have when the baby is here! We are SO ready for this baby to arrive and can't wait to meet him or her. Soon, it will no longer be just Kyle and I. The Christmas holiday was fun, but we kept saying how much more fun the holidays and everyday life will be with our baby here : ) Lots of fun times ahead. Keep an eye on the blog towards the end of January because we will be adding pictures and an update on the baby while we're in the hospital! Can't wait to be a family of 3!!!

Baby Shower - 12/5/09

Here are some pictures of our baby shower from December 5th. It was a great day and everyone made it very special for us. We received so many beautiful gifts....Baby Papworth is lucky! It was so much fun bringing everything home, washing baby clothes/blankets and finishing the nursery over the weekend. Not too much longer and our little one will be here!!!

7 Months!

Another month has passed....just 2 more months to go! We are getting more and more excited for our baby to be here. With the holidays approaching, I think the time will go by even faster. Our baby shower is this coming weekend on Dec. 5th, so I will be posting pictures from that day. We're so excited to finish the baby's room and get things ready!

6 Months!

Wow, 6 months already.....another month has passed! I am still feeling good and things seem to be going well. Baby Papworth has been pretty active lately. I have been feeling a lot of movement...and loving every minute of it : ) It's so fun to relax on the couch at night and watch my belly make little "jumps". Hmm, I wonder what this baby is...a boy or a girl? Can't wait to find out in 3 more months!!

Shanty Creek Resort - October 14-16, 2009

Kyle had a conference for work in Bellaire at the Shanty Creek Resort and I came along for a fall getaway. The leaves were beautiful....I LOVE fall!! We had a great time : )

The weeks are flying: 5 months already!

18 Weeks!

Here are our 18 week ultrasound pictures. The baby was very active! Kyle and I just stared at the screen in amazement. The legs and arms were moving like crazy! It really is amazing to know our baby is growing in my tummy : ) I felt the first "flutters" on Aug. 31st.....it was a feeling I have never felt before, so I knew it was the baby that I felt. Can't wait to feel more movement soon. That's all for now....been a very long day and I'm going to bed! Enjoy the pictures : )

4 Months!

Time is going by pretty fast....I'm 4 months along already! It's amazing how my belly is growing. I haven't felt the baby move quite yet, but I should feel a flutter very soon : ) I have an ultrasound appointment on Sept. 2nd, so I will be sure to post those pictures next week!

Baby Papworth's Room

Starting to get the nursery ready!

Here is daddy, hard at work putting the crib together! Maybe we're starting this a little early...still have 5 1/2 months to go! We just couldn't wait to start it though! Thank you to our parents for purchasing the crib and dresser for us : )

3 months!

3 months down, 6 more to go! The time is flying. Here is a picture at 3 months. Things are going well so far and I am still feeling well. Tired a lot and dealing with some lower back pain, but I can't complain too much. I'm told the back pain will not go away for quite awhile, so I better get used to it! We had an appt with Dr. Durbin on July 22nd and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat....SO nice to hear that : ) Hearing that made it feel even more real to us, since I haven't felt any "movement" yet. I'm sure I will soon though. We have an ultrasound scheduled for September 2nd, so I will post those pictures then. Signing off for now, but I will post more updates soon!

How we surprised our family with the baby news.....

On June 3rd, we had family over to celebrate my birthday (June 6th is my real b-day). Little did they know, we were going to surprise them with baby news! We completely caught them off guard because they thought they were coming over just for my b-day. When it came time for cake, we brought this ice cream cake out and watched their reactions as they read the message. It was such a fun way to surprise them : ) It was a great night!

1st Ultrasound - June 4, 2009

Here is our first ultrasound that was done on June 4th. The little white area connected to the top of the circle is our baby. Even though this was taken when I was only about 3 weeks pregnant, we could see the heart fluttering already. Pretty amazing. The next ultrasound will be towards the end of July and with that one, we will actually see a baby! Can't wait : )

First Belly Picture

I know it's early yet, but I thought I would post the first belly shot at 2 months! Not much to see right now, but it will be fun to see my tummy grow each month!

Photo Booth!

We went to a fun wedding this past weekend for our friends Joelle and Nick and they had a photo booth at the reception! This was really neat, so I thought I'd post our photos : )

Due Date: January 27, 2010!

Kyle and I are very excited about Baby Papworth! He or she will come into the world around January 27, 2010, which is my due date. We have decided to not find out the sex of the baby until he/she is born. I love the idea of hearing "it's a boy" or "it's a girl" in the delivery room...it will be worth the wait! Our next appointment with the doctor is scheduled for July 22nd. I will be sure to post any updates, ultrasound and "belly" pictures as the months pass.
